xTool F2 Portable Dual Laser Engraver — 15W Diode & 5W Infrared
The xTool F2 is a portable dual laser engraver combining a 15W diode laser and 5W 1064nm infrared laser in one pre-assembled machine. Designed for custom gifts, metal marking and small-batch production, it features a 50MP smart camera, speeds up to 6,000mm/s and a standard 115 × 115mm working area.
Take personalisation beyond the workshop. Whether you're engraving a single keepsake, creating custom products at an event or processing repeat designs for your business, the xTool F2 brings two laser technologies together in a compact format. Work across suitable wood, leather, acrylic, coated materials and metals without switching between separate machines.
Two Lasers, More Ways to Create
15W diode laser: Engrave suitable wood, leather, paper, coated metal and some dark opaque acrylic. The diode laser also cuts supported materials including paper, wood, leather, MDF, felt and some dark opaque acrylic. The listed maximum cutting capacities are 15mm basswood and 12mm acrylic, each in multiple passes.
5W infrared laser (1064nm): Bring fine-detail metal engraving into your workflow. The IR laser is designed for suitable plastics and metals including stainless steel, aluminium, copper, brass, titanium alloys, plated metals, anodised aluminium, gold, silver and platinum. It supports metal marking, including deep black-on-metal effects and other suitable decorative techniques.
The F2's dual-laser setup supports creative techniques including colour engraving and 3D relief, subject to material suitability and processing settings. Different materials respond differently, so test settings and artwork before a full production run.
50MP Camera, Accurate Placement & Faster Batch Work
Position small items with greater confidence using the built-in 50MP smart camera, full-workspace visual preview and up to 0.1mm alignment accuracy on small pieces. Live positioning makes it easier to check where a design will land before starting a job.
With a maximum marking speed of 6,000mm/s, the xTool F2 is designed to reduce cycle times on suitable projects. Automatic focus, manual two-dot alignment, outline and polygon framing, one-click auto-fill and batch-processing tools help organise repeat work.
Portable Laser Engraving for Events, Markets & Small Businesses
The xTool F2 arrives pre-assembled and combines a compact footprint with an eye-protection cover. Its portability makes it a useful option for on-site customisation, personalised gifts and shorter production runs. Always operate it in accordance with its Class 4 laser safety requirements and the manufacturer's instructions.
At 175 × 237 × 334mm and 4.60kg, the machine is suitable for workspaces where bench space matters. Add an appropriate extraction or air-purification arrangement for your materials and operating environment.
xTool F2 vs xTool F1: What Has Changed?
- More laser power: The F2 combines 15W diode and 5W infrared lasers, compared with the F1's 10W diode and 2W infrared lasers.
- Higher maximum speed: Up to 6,000mm/s on the F2 compared with up to 4,000mm/s on the F1.
- Built-in camera: The F2 adds a 50MP smart camera for live workspace preview, visual alignment and batch-placement functions; the F1 has no built-in camera.
- Expanded workflow features: Autofocus, curved-surface engraving, relief engraving and batch-processing capabilities are available on the F2.
Working Area, Slide Extension & Rotary Accessories
The standard xTool F2 working area is 115 × 115mm (4.53 × 4.53 inches). With the compatible F1 Slide Extension, the available processing area extends to 400 × 115mm (15.75 × 4.53 inches), supporting longer pieces and sequential engraving of multiple items.
Maximum supported workpiece height is 120mm, and the maximum rotary engraving diameter is 120mm. The xTool F2 supports F1 accessories except the Rolling Hard Case, including the RA3 Smart MagSwap Rotary, RA2 Pro Rotary, F1 Slide Extension, F1 Pedal or Button Switch and Desktop Air Purifier. Accessory compatibility and included equipment depend on the chosen package.
Design & Control with xTool Studio
The xTool F2 uses xTool Studio (formerly xTool Creative Space or XCS) on Windows and macOS for artwork preparation, job layout, machine settings and engraving control. Supported file formats include SVG, DXF, JPG, JPEG, PNG and BMP, among others. Connection options include Wi-Fi, USB and IP.
Important: The F2 does not support LightBurn at this time. Its supported software is xTool Studio. AImake compatibility is also listed as supported.

How Do I Choose the Right Material for My Laser?
Start by checking the compatibility information and specifications in the product description. Pixel Burn stocks materials and supplies for CO₂, diode, fibre and UV laser systems, but not every material is suitable for every laser type or wavelength.
Pay close attention to the listed material, thickness, surface finish and recommended laser type. If you are unsure, send us your laser model and what you want to create, and our team can help you identify the most suitable option. Always complete a small test before beginning your final project, as settings can vary between machines.
Are Your Materials and Blanks Ready to Use?
Are Your Materials and Blanks Ready to Use?
Yes. Our laser materials and blanks are supplied ready for you to cut, engrave, mark or customise unless the individual product states otherwise.
Blanks are supplied unpersonalised, giving you complete control over your design and production process. Selected sheet materials may arrive with a protective film to help protect the surface during storage and delivery. Always follow the instructions provided with the individual product for the best results.
What Product Specifications Should I Check Before Ordering?
What Product Specifications Should I Check Before Ordering?
Before ordering, check the product’s dimensions, thickness, material, finish, pack quantity and stated laser compatibility. You should also confirm that sheets and blanks will fit your laser bed or pass-through system.
Natural materials such as wood can show variations in colour, grain and appearance between sheets. If you require a specific measurement, tolerance or compatibility detail that is not listed, contact our team before ordering and we will help confirm it for you.
